The Reston & District Library was established in 1976 with the combined efforts of the Municipalities of Pipestone and Albert. The Reston & District Library moved from a rented facility to its permanent home in 1992.
In January 2015 the Library continued to provide services to the R.M. of Pipestone and Two Borders through the amalgamation of the R.M. of Arthur, the R.M. of Edward and the R.M. of Albert.
